Retreat Wing

Guests are welcomed to the newly renovated 21-bedroom Retreat Wing, which comprises of single and twin rooms, many offering en suite facilities as well as two specially adapted disabled access rooms with en suite.

In addition to an informal chapel for group and personal prayer, there are comfortable sitting rooms, a library and an art room enabling spiritual refreshment for all.  The peaceful gardens offer an outside space for reflection.

Guests are welcome to join the Sisters in St Mary Magdalene’s Chapel for the Daily Office and Eucharist. Retreatants are also invited to use St Mary’s Chapel for personal prayer.

Good quality, simple meals are taken in the Retreat Refectory, comprising a continental breakfast, cooked lunch and light supper.  Tea and coffee facilities are available throughout the day.  Any dietary requirements can be catered for.

The Convent is located within walking distance of Wantage town centre, home to The Vale and Downland Museum.  For those with an interest in walking, the nearby Ridgeway path is the perfect means to explore the locality and the beautiful Berkshire Downs.

Standard Room Full Board – £80.00 per person
