Silence, Contemplation, Friendship and Love:
Praying in the Cistercian Tradition
A Silent Conducted Retreat
With Br Tom Clammer OC
A two night silent retreat at St Mary’s Convent
This retreat will enable us to think, in a gentle and relaxed way, about the distinctive contribution of Cistercian spirituality to the monastic and wider Christian tradition. The particular strands of contemplation, friendship and love, which have been hallmarks of the Cistercian tradition since its emergence in the late 11th century, will be explored, with lots of space for private reflection and prayer. Br Tom will be available throughout for personal conversation.
