Conducted Retreat 2020 with Revd Malcolm Guite
This Conducted Retreat offers the opportunity for prayer and reflection within the context of daily addresses on themes arising from our leader’s poetic writing, possibly concentrating on the sonnets relating to the Lord’s Prayer. There will be ample space for personal engagement with the material and/or individual prayer in the quiet of the Convent buildings and grounds.
We begin with tea together about 4pm on 26th October. However, afternoons will usually be free, and you may like to bring craft or other creative activities with you. Meals are taken in silence.
Our leader may offer retreatants short individual meetings on certain days and opportunities for discussion and moving forward towards the end of the retreat.
The Convent has two chapels available for private prayer, lounges, an Art Room and attractive garden, as well as easily accessible town and country walks nearby.
Leader: Revd Malcolm Guite, Chaplain of Girton College, Cambridge, and published poet, famous for his sonnets on different aspects of the Christian year, church life and prayer.
