Sister Helen Philippa died peacefully at Wantage Nursing Home at 9.00 pm on 15 July in the 58th year of her life Profession, aged 98.
Vespers of the Dead will be at 5.00 pm on Monday 23 July 2018 at the Convent with the Requiem at 11.00 am on Tuesday 24 July followed by burial in St Mary’s Garth. The funeral will end with an Easter hymn in St Mary Magdalene’s Chapel.
We give thanks for her love of pastoral work in parish life, her artistic skills and her life-long care of birds and small animals when maimed. It was a delight to receive SHP’s radiant smile & familiarity with prayers when bringing her Holy Communion.
